For those of you out there counting, where any of you counting? You would know that FromtheBellyofaTraveler came to a close with my last stop being in New York, New York (a city so great they named it twice).
The official close date was March 13 2016.
Here we are, the very last group of dancers.
I spent exactly 1,310 days on the road, or 3 years, 7 months, 2 days, if you prefer.
So where have I been you might ask, why am I writing after all this time.
As to the first question I’ve been back in the Bay Area, trying to slide back into life like a weary body sliding into a warm bath. Unfortunately my transition wasn’t as smooth as I’d have liked it to been. It was a bit more like sliding on a bar of soap that was outside of the tub and somehow rolling down 57 flights of stone steps to end up minus a towel plus a few broken bones and somehow in the middle of my ex’s wedding vows (not literally). Unfortunate and painful to say the least. So yeah that’s where I’ve been.
The why, now that ones a bit more more cheerful. Simply put I’m finding myself able to prioritize the adventure we took together. I am sorting through the vast archives of footage I collected over the 3+ years and I am beginning to organize, plan, and write.
I have high hopes for what I want to come out of all of this, but feeling superstitious on the subject don’t want to disclose the information until it’s more developed.
Will I be blogging more?
I certainly hope so, but you know how things go.
So for now…
